Ep 54: Paradise Killer - An Ironic Frappuccino

It's our December game!!! Hope this helps bring some warmth to your holiday season and Jason welcomes on Renata Price, games critic formerly of Fanbyte who somehow enjoyed Paradise Killer even more than Jason. It's a real love fest. Hope you were able to play! (Unlike lazybones Corrigan and sluggard Ben)
After the introduction they get into the development (9:00) then dive fully into gameplay and spoilers not long after that (13:45). After LOTS of high level PK talk, they bring it back down to play a lovely round of "What's The Drink? What's The Song?" (60:00). Then Ben joins for a few minutes (67:00) where they talk about a few Black developers that are doing some amazing work, as well what our next game is, coming to you the first Friday in February 2021!

Ep 53: Little Nightmares - That’s Not What You Do With Meat

Happy Halloween!!! Hopefully you're finding fun ways to celebrate the spookiest of holidays, full of plenty of candy and terrors--I know we are! We played the terrifying and surprisingly thoughtful and story-centric tale Little Nightmares, and we're bringing it to you a week early so you can rightfully celebrate All Hallows' Eve with our scariest episode ever. We were also honoured to have the other half of Corrigan's Jack Of All Graves podcast, Mark Lewis, join us and equally excited for his pronunciation of the word "bears". Get psyched!
After some goofs and some spoofs, we get into the development side of things (12:00) and eventually dive into a spoiler-full gameplay discussion (20:00). We play a lovely game Ben made up on the spot called "3 Questions" (45:30), and then get into a slimy, yet satisfying match of "What's The Drink? What's The Song" (62:30). Eventually we power up the ol' Recommendation Station (70:45), and finish things off nicely with a little MOLMF In The News (86:45) and next months game! We did it!

Ep 52: Never Alone - Alive In A New Medium

We downloaded this game YEARS ago, so it's a pleasure to finally get to talk about it as we welcome in Dr. Wendi Sierra onto the pod as a scholar, game developer, writer, and Oneida tribe member. 
We start off getting into who Wendi is and diving into her area of research, then we dive into the game itself and all of our experiences playing it. After a bit of that we have a lengthy game of "What's The Drink? What's The Song?" Ep 51: Treachery in Beatdown City - Just Dirty Enough

We're running things back...to earlier this year. That's right, it may be a new game, but it definitely hearkens back to the games of yore that inspired this pod in the first place. Hope you get a chance to play it!

Thanks for bearing with us as we took the month of June off. It's great to finally be back, and we're looking forward to so many more great games this year! Secondly, we spent some extra time this episode talking about what's going on in the country (and world) today, and what we're doing to address some of those issues personally—hopefully you appreciate the transparency.

Ep 48: Undertale - Truly the Most Tsundere of Games

We fell in love with Undertale this month. Hopefully you got a chance to play it with us, just like our guest did (who somehow managed to play it much better than us...jeez), Corrigan's sister, Ed! Thanks for joining us!
After some introductory info and jibber-jabber we finally get into the development of Undertale (17:30) and talk about the specific plot details after that (37:00). Eventually the gang gets into the Drink and Song choices (67:00), and plays a delightful round of... "Corri's Screen Grab Game!"—it needs a better title (78:00). Then they chat about what else they've all been playing and what next month's game(s) will be.
