Ep 41: Outer Wilds - Lumberpunk

This game blew us away! Really a fun surprise and we hope you had a chance to play it as well. Corrigan couldn't be bothered to play with us this month, so it's just Jason and Ben running around the galaxy, blowing s#@* up...but we thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. You will be missed dear Corrigan, but we're excited to have you back next month!
Things got a little weird with the timeline and order this month (you'll see why), but basically, after the intros, we get into the making-of at some point (around 5:15), then chat about the gameplay for...awhile after that. After some loopy moments in there, we chat about what beer and song this song might be (48:00), what else we've been playing (52:15), and then we of course pick next month's game--with the help of Corri! (56:45). And since that'll be our October game, it'll be a bit spookier than normal. Look out!

Ep 40: The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa - Making You Think Like You

We're talking all things Ringo this week in this fighting/RPG/open-world strange game from earlier this year. Jason walks us through the making of the game and we all dive fist-first into the gameplay as (most of us) were able to beat the whole thing this month. 
After the intro, we get into the making of the game and why we (Jason) chose to play it (6:00) and eventually we start talking gameplay (26:00). Then of course we libate it up and play some "What's The Drink? What's The Song?" It's officially Stranger Things season, and we're keeping things strange on the pod by talking all about the 2015 episodic adventure Life Is Strange. Strap on your adolescent and melodramatic murder mystery hats!
After some high level tomfoolery, we finally get into the development of the game (5:00), and dive deeeeeep into the gameplay eventually (27:00). After a long and lovely discussion on that, we talk about what might be the libation and what might be the tune most related to this game (61:00), and of course chat about what other games we might be playing simultaneously (73:00). We're joined again by Corrigan Vaughan this week and are excited to announce she'll be joining us on the podcast from here on out as a permanent host of MOLMF!!! Huzzah!!!

We're back to our Monkey Island-ing ways in the third of the Monkey Island epic pentalogy, and while it's a bit of a departure from Ron Gilbert's first 2 games, it's more of the same for us as we welcome back Corrigan Vaughan to the podcast to discuss all of her piratey adventures along the way!
We get into the background and making of the game at the top, then welcome Corrigan onto the podcast for a lengthy discussion of the gameplay (15:30). Ep 35: Kôna - Isolation, Loneliness, and Madness

We're finding our groove in 2019 with another MOLMF genre favorite: a walking simulator! However, this one has a bit more strategy and puzzling than most of the ones we've covered in the past. Hope you had a chance to pick up Kôna this past month, because it's definitely a mind-bending, terrifying, intriguing game. Here we go...
